FASHION 101: Did you know?

Thursday, February 28, 2008 0 comments

Did you know that a typical woman shops for about 25,184 hours over 63 years? That's approximately seven and a half hours of shopping a week!

Assuming that I started shopping when I was 14 years old, I've spent roughly 2,800 hours shopping. That's really putting it in prespective. Imagine all the time I could've spent doing my homework and getting straight A's!

HELLO: Greetings from Holland.

Okay, so I'm not really in Holland. This is just me at Scandia with my boyfriend, playing a little miniature golf.

I woke up this morning and immediately decided to wear my brown leather riding boots. I was so excited because this was my first time it wearing out that I had forgotten to take a decent picture with my outfit on.

Oh well.

The boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Honestly, I think it's because we weren't keeping score. Even so, I know he won. I suck at everything.

WHAT THE F?: Doggie bag anyone?

I am what you call a girlie girl so yes, I have gone through the stage of carrying my dog as an accessory, totally mirroring Paris Hilton's antics.

But looking at this picture, all I can say is "WTF?!"

Honestly, I do not get the concept of this kind of doggie bag. I feel completely bad for this dog. I almost want to call PETA and tell them the cruelty of this company... (I don't know. The site doesn't have a source for the picture.)

SHOPPING: Celery green cutout platforms! REJOICE!

Last Saturday, I was feeling a little blue. Being the wonderful person that he is, my boyfriend decided to take me to Target for a little cheering up (I don't have to remind you how much I love Target, do I?).

I immediately went to the makeup aisle to pick me up L'oreal HiP eyeliner cream (in Jet Black!). After that, I found myself scouting the "Women's" section for the new Converse Line. I had my eye on this pretty little gray dress, but they didn't have it in the store or online. I immediately went straight for this metallic motorcycle jacket, but they didn't have my size! I had absolutely no luck with the Converse line at all!

However, when I went to the shoe aisle, I was stricken with grief when I saw these celery green wedges! After making a couple of laps around the store in the sandals, I decided they were sturdy enough to keep my balance. I grabbed my stuff and immediately headed for the counter with a huge smile on my face.

Since that fateful Saturday, I have been wearing my sandals with pride, knowing that because they were threaded, I wouldn't fall flat on my face.

HELLO: Or lack there of.

I know already, okay? You don't have to tell me.

With this past week having been New York's Fashion Week, it is a stupid time for me to momentarily stop posting. Yes, I know.

However, I do plan on spending Thursday night and the entire Friday blogging--I swear.

So keep that in mind and come back this weekend! :)
